French actress Catherine Deneuve spoke in support of men in a situation that developed after a series of sexual scandals in Hollywood, and called everything that happens in the film industry "witch hunts".

This is written by the British edition of The Guardian.

One hundred famous Frenchwomen, including Deneuve, published an open letter in the French newspaper Le Monde, in which they condemned the #MeToo campaign aimed at combating sexual harassment, which was spread after a scandal with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

"Rape is a crime. But persistent or awkward flirting - no.

The accused men were punished as soon as possible, they had to leave their jobs, although all they were doing was touching someone's knee or trying to get a kiss, "says Le Monde.

The letter says that the desire of women to fight for their rights has turned into a real "witch hunt". And also that such a policy can secure for many the "status of eternal victims". Signed women accentuate that they stand for freedom of seduction and sexuality, and call on men not to stop pestering women.

Recall, earlier Ricky Martin legalized the relationship with his lover.
