By the way, the rating was published for the 14th time - and in 12 of them Merkel occupied the first place, losing in the remaining years to former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and wife of the 44th US President Michel Obama.
In second place this year was British Prime Minister Teresa Mei, who became a rookie of the rating due to the success in politics and the passage of the Brexit procedure.
The third place in the list was received by the wife of billionaire Bill Gates - Melinda Gates, who for a year together with her husband spent more than 40 billion on grants and supports organizations in more than 100 countries of the world.
The top five also included Facebook Operating Director Cheryl Sandberg and General Motors General Director Mary Barra.
But the defeated US presidential election, Hillary Clinton lost 65 positions at once, moving from the second line to the 67th.
It should also be noted that Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain is in 26th place. The daughter and adviser to the US president Ivanka Trump was on the 19th line of the rating.
They were circumvented by the head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde (8th) and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini (17th).
