Famous guitarist Bruce Hampton, who became the founder of the Hampton Grease Band rock band and was nicknamed "the grandfather of the jam scene," died at a concert in honor of his 70th birthday, BBC News reports..

The musician had a heart attack during the encore.

It is reported that Hampton's concert was held in Atlanta in the USA. A heart attack happened to the musician when he performed the song "Turn on Your Lovelight".



The colleagues who played with him did not immediately realize that a disaster had happened. For several minutes they remained on stage, thinking that Hampton shows the planned trick.

Bruce Hampton gained fame in the music world thanks to his experimental surrealistic compositions. For his long career, which lasted 50 years, the singer released 20 records.
