Reese Witherspoon will return to the role of El Woods in the third part of "The Blonde in the Law".

Studio MGM confirmed rumors about the negotiations with Reese Witherspoon about the return to a new story about El Woods - the main character of the film "Legally Blonde" (Legally Blonde).

Since the premiere of the first part, which literally became a hit at the box office, 17 years have passed. With a budget of 18 million dollars, the film grossed 141 million worldwide. However, the collection of the sequel, which was released two years later, was less than the first film. But somehow the story of a girl who dreams of becoming a lawyer, in fact, foresaw the feminist sentiments of the next decade.

Back in March this year at the James Corden show, Witherspoon casually let slip about the possible plot of the new "Blonde in the Law".

She said that she would be interested to know what El could do in our time. The presenter in response suggested that she could become the president of the United States, given that her heroine was already a congressman.

The work on a new film about the "blonde" may return to the screenwriters of the first film Kirsten Smith and Karen McCall. It was they who adapted the original story of the writer Amanda Brown, written on the basis of her experience at Stanford Law School.
