The American Academy of Cinematographic Arts announced the date of the next award ceremony "Oscar". In 2019, the ceremony will be held on February 24. Traditionally, the event will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Selection of nominees for the main world film award will begin on January 7 and finish on January 14. The nominees will be announced on January 22, and on February 4 they will have a traditional lunch.

The final vote for the applicants for the award will end on February 19, and on February 24 the 91st awarding ceremony will take place.

In 2018, the award ceremony was held on March 4. The best film version of the American Film Academy was the fantasy melodrama Guillermo del Toro "Form of water".
