New SMMT car colors have been released, showing Britain's obsession with gray continues.
Gray is in first place for the seventh year, and black is in second place,"
According to SMMT, 27.8 per cent of all new cars sold in the UK during 2024 were painted in some shade of gray, with other popular colors including black and white.
The most non-monochromatic shade was blue, accounting for 14.9% of new vehicles during the 12-month period, with red coming in fifth place.
More exotic new car color options, including green, orange and yellow, also made the top 10, but accounted for only 4.7 percent of new cars combined.
