CapCut competitor: Meta announced a new video editing application

Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, has introduced a new video editing application – Edits. The move is a direct response to the popularity of the Chinese app CapCut and the ban on TikTok in some countries..

The announcement comes just hours after TikTok (and its sister app CapCut) was temporarily banned in the US.. The network revealed details about the application.

Meta quickly responds to changes in global trends and implements new solutions. The tech giant announced the launch of Edits, a mobile video editing tool..

Adam Mocerri, CEO of Instagram, announced Edits in Threads, calling it the app for those who like to create videos directly on their phone..

“There are a lot of changes happening at the moment, but despite the circumstances, we are committed to providing the best tools for creators,” commented Mosseri, apparently referring to the situation with the temporary ban of TikTok and CapCut.
