The trend for full-length video game adaptations continues. And one of the next projects will be the film Until Dawn based on the survival horror video game of the same name..

The first teaser of the project has already been released on the YouTube channel of Sony Pictures studio. He introduces the film's team and outlines what audiences can expect.

So the screenwriter and producer of the film Until Dawn, Harry Dauberman, says that the authors of the film were not involved in reproducing the plot of the game. Rather, they took its setting, which seemed very cinematic to them, and continued the story.

The film's director, David Sandberg (Keep the Lights On, Annabelle: Creation), admits in the teaser that while working on the film, the goal was to replicate the atmosphere of the game. However, the authors set themselves the goal of expanding its universe. According to Sandberg, in the game characters die depending on the choices they make. The film will inherit this mechanic and force the heroes to come up with incredible ways to survive the night and live until dawn.

It is known that the only actor from the game's voice cast who will appear on the big screen will be Peter Stormare. He'll be back as Dr. Hill.. He can also be seen in the teaser.

The authors are keeping the plot of the film a complete secret.. However, they promise that it will be a film with the strictest R rating and will be a true ode to the horror genre.

A full trailer for the film based on the game Until Dawn should be released soon.. The film opens worldwide on April 25. It is still unknown whether it will be seen in Ukrainian cinemas.
