In the story, Christina, a student of Molfar, having lost her home in the occupied territory, moves to the west of the country, where she finds refuge and also discovers her own gift. Like her heroine, Elena is from Kherson and also knows what it’s like to lose a home. In an interview for the 1+1 website, the actress spoke about her native Kherson region and relatives under temporary occupation. Elena admitted that she manages to keep in touch with family and friends there. According to the artist, her loved ones are trying to survive, despite the appalling conditions imposed by the occupation authorities.. " They say that there are constant explosions there, it’s very scary, but they still hold on. Even now, when they are forced to exchange Ukrainian passports for Russian ones, they do not do this, although through this they cannot buy either medicine or some things,” said the actress.

Moreover, the Russian occupiers destroyed the house of the actress’s grandmother.

However, even after such grief, the family believes in the future return of territories under Ukrainian control and the restoration of their own housing. “The territory where my grandmother lived is now also under occupation, it is constantly being shelled, entire streets are being burned out. Neighbors said that they barely saved their grandmother’s house from a fire, but it was destroyed.
