On International Women's Day, March 8, singer Olya Polyakova staged an incendiary concert with a new Ukrainian-language program called " The star gathered a full auditorium at the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center. The first to hear the updated concert program of Polyakova could be military personnel, volunteers, employees of the State Emergency Service and doctors. For them, the singer arranged a separate daytime concert for free.. But in the evening, ordinary viewers have already come to listen to Olya's hits of the Ukrainian star.
As the artist’s team shared, part of the funds collected from the purchase of tickets will be used to purchase a pickup truck for the defenders of the Third Border Detachment of the 1st Air Force, military unit 9938, as well as targeted assistance to internally displaced persons.
Olya began her performance with a song, which gave the name to her concert " On stage, the performer appeared in a long white dress with a golden corset and an exquisite cape, decorated with embroidered golden ears of corn.. Polyakova's hair was adorned with a luxurious crown. Fans greeted the star with a standing ovation.
After the first song, Polyakova addressed the audience in the hall and thanked everyone who brings our victory closer today.. " We, Ukrainians, are tempering right now, because we are strong and indestructible.. Today there are many servicemen, doctors, volunteers in the hall. You all hold this front today. The first part of the concert touched every spectator in the hall. Polyakova presented the already well-known lyrical compositions Dolechka and Tishsya, which she recorded in a duet with Artem Pivovarov. The singer stressed that from now on her songs will be played only in Ukrainian. " When they started killing us just because we were Ukrainians, we passionately wanted to become Ukrainians, really? Today I sing exclusively in Ukrainian," Polyakova.
But then Olya sang the anthem of Ukraine - a song that sounds all over the world today as a symbol of our invincibility and freedom. As the artist shared, for her it has a personal meaning.. At the beginning of the war, the performer was very afraid that no one would need her more creativity and she would stop singing.. But when Olya sang the national anthem for the first time at a football match abroad, her thirst for life returned..
The next song became very emotional and did not leave indifferent among all those present. With tears in her eyes, Polyakova sang the composition “Try Maj її”, which she dedicated to Oksana Balandina, a physician who lost her limbs during the shelling, and her husband. The singer also performed several completely new songs, in which she also sang about painful feelings during the war.. A special guest at the concert of the star was the defender of Azovstal, Marine Mikhail Dianov. The military man went up on stage to the singer and presented her with a very touching gift - a doll Olya Polyakova, which his mother personally knitted. The fighter thanked Olya for supporting our army, and also addressed with gratitude to every citizen of Ukraine. " If there were no doctors - there would be no army, there would be no drivers - there would be no army. Imagine everyone went to war, what then? We would return to the ruins.
