The war found the family of the singer and volunteer Alexander Krivoshapko in Mariupol. From the first days of a full-scale invasion, the artist's relatives were under fire.
As Krivoshapko recalled, he had no connection with his relatives and he hardly spoke to them.. His sister and mother were constantly in the basement and could not even get out of there due to constant shelling.
After 40 days, the singer's family decided to leave the occupied city. They walked 15 kilometers and managed to get to a safe place.. However, Alexander's grandmother died in occupied Mariupol.
" Not only my family, but also many of my friends were there.. There was my sister and her husband, my mother, my grandmother, who died. This hell has been over 40 days. In 40 days, maybe two minutes, I talked to my family at all, because it was almost impossible. This is such emotional terrorism that I will never forget and none of us will ever forget, ”the artist said in the ZhVL program..
Krivoshapko remembered that because of the constant shelling, relatives could not go to their grandmother, so there was a nurse near her all the time. When the artist's family was already leaving Mariupol, they were informed that the grandmother had died.
The musician admits that it is still hard for him to remember this.
" There were days when people in the basements could not go out to the entrance for two or three days. Such a density of these attacks was constantly. They didn't even have a chance to visit their grandmother, who was a few yards away from us.. But she was with a nurse. They could go there but not reach. When they left the city, it already became known… It still hurts,” Krivoshapko shared..
