But the puppies were forced to leave in Irpen with an elderly mother. Hoping to come back for them in a few days. But heavy fighting unfolded - shelling and bombing, the city was in a complete blockade, and the roads were destroyed. The house where the elderly mother stayed with the puppies was damaged by the blast and was fired upon by enemy bullets. All this time, mom with puppies was in the basement.

“When a humanitarian corridor was finally opened from Irpin, at the request of Natalya, volunteers responded - Anastasia and Oleg. They went to save the family. Kilometers walked and carried 9 fat puppies in a cage and led adult dogs on leashes. They were taken to Kyiv, where they were sheltered by the owner of the zoo hotel Oksana Krushelnitskaya, who at this time rescues animals,"
