Scandalously famous producer Harvey Weinstein, who recently appeared in court on the case of rape, is once again accused of harassment.
So, the German actress Emma Lohman sued Weinstein. The woman claims that the former Hollywood producer raped her during the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, reports The Guardian..
In a complaint filed on Monday in Los Angeles, Loman said she met Weinstein at the 2004 Venice Film Festival, and later he invited her to Cannes as a guest to discuss her career.
Loman also said that at first she did not dare to accept the invitation, but Weinstein was insistent, and his assistant phoned her 30 times a day.
At the end, the actress agreed, but noted that in Cannes, Weinstein lured her to his hotel room to discuss possible roles in his films. But there he quickly forgot about "professional behavior" and raped her.
Loman also added that the 66-year-old former Hollywood producer subsequently made it clear to her that she would spoil her career if she reported the incident.
It is this actress who explains her long silence.
Emma noticed that she "felt safe" and decided to report rape only in late 2017, when dozens of women made accusations against the film producer.
Recall that in the autumn of 2017 dozens of women, including famous actresses and models, publicly talked about harassment and sexual violence by Harvey Weinstein. Now criminal investigations are being conducted against him, but Weinstein does not plead guilty.
