In Odessa, the annual festival was ceremoniously launched, for which the VIP guest of the festival arrived - actor Eric Roberts, brother of Julia Roberts, who admitted that not a single Ukrainian film in my life has been seen.

Traditionally, near the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, the red carpet, which is over 80 meters long, was the stars of the world cinema, Ukrainian celebrities and secular people.

It is interesting that despite the bad weather, the official opening ceremony of the Odessa Film Festival started on time at 5 pm.

After the passage along the red carpet, guests of the holiday will see the picture "A Woman at War", which is a joint product of Ukrainian, Icelandic and French filmmakers.

In total, more than 100 films and exclusive premieres will be shown at the film festival. As well as Odessa citizens and visitors, creative meetings with well-known actors and directors await, as well as a special program for children.

Note that in addition to Eric Roberts, the Japanese film director and screenwriter Naomi Kawase also became honored guests of the 9th Odessa Film Festival, who will present several of her films in Odessa, the famous French actor Denis Lavan, as well as the legendary Ukrainian actress Ada Rogovtseva.
