On Saturday, June 23, in Scotland, the stars of the cult series "The Game of Thrones", actors Keith Harington (John Snow) and Rose Leslie (Igritt).

According to The Guardian, the long-awaited wedding attracted less attention to itself than the wedding of Megan Markle and Prince Harry, but was included in the list of major events of the year.

The wedding ceremony, which brought together almost all the actors of the "Game of Thrones", took place in an ancient Scottish castle - a family owned clan bride built in the XII century. It is located near the town of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire.

According to Harington and Leslie, this castle corresponds to the atmosphere of the "Game of Thrones". In honor of the cult project, the set of which became the place of acquaintance of the beloved, they decided to organize the wedding-like series most similar to the series.

Leslie chose for the wedding an elegant white dress with lace and appliques on floristic themes from the fashion house Elie Saab Bridal. Her classic image was complemented by a bouquet of white roses.

The altar was held by the father, Sebastian Arbatnot-Leslie, who appeared at the wedding in the traditional Scottish kilt. And Harington came to the church by taxi.

After the official part of the wedding ceremony, Harington and Leslie left the church in the Land Rover Defender 90 retro car, and then continued the celebration along with numerous colleagues on the show, including Emilia Clarke ("the mother of dragons" Deeneris Targarien), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) Macy Williams (Arya Stark) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister).

Englishman Harington and Scotch Leslie met in 2012 on the set of "The Game of Thrones". There were rumors in the media that the couple was going to get married, but neither Leslie nor Harington confirmed it. For many saga fans their relationship in real life was a surprise.

About the engagement, they announced in September last year. The official announcement of the upcoming event was published in the Times newspaper.

Specific plans for details of the wedding were not made public, but its date - June 23, appeared in the records of the Civil Registry Office of the town of Huntley in Aberdeenshire.

Leslie stopped working in the series two years after the filming began, when her character died. And Harington became one of the main stars of the "Game of Thrones", starring in all seven seasons.

Harington also demanded that the producers of the series have a day off for the whole film crew, half-jokingly telling them that the film's authors are to blame for marrying, since they brought it together with Rose on the set.
