American famous conductor and pianist James Levine was fired from the Metropolitan Opera because of accusations of sexual harassment.

Such a decision, which is spoken in the widespread statement of the opera company, was taken on the basis of an investigation begun in December last year after Levine was suspected of sexual harassment, reports The New York Times.

This became an extreme fall of the legendary 74-year-old maestro, whom many considered the best American conductor since the days of Leonard Bernstein.

During the investigation, evidence was obtained that the conductor was involved in "sexual violence and harassment" against artists who depended on him.

Any details of what exactly James is guilty of, who dedicated 40 years to the Metropolitan Opera, did not disclose. Earlier it was reported that several people claimed that they were being harassed by Levine. One source said that he was harassed by a conductor at the age of 15. Libyan charges of harassment categorically denied.

Recall that recently in sexual harassment accused screenwriter films about James Bond.
