The drama "Hoarfrost", for the sake of filming in which the French actress and ex-wife Johnny Depp Vanessa Parady visited Kiev, finally went on a rental in Ukraine.

The film of the Lithuanian director Sharunas Bartas, created jointly by Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland and France was first presented in the framework of a two-week filmmaking at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2017.

The Ukrainian drama hit only at the third attempt. In December last year in the capital the film was already shown, but only in a limited box office.

The film tells about a young Lithuanian couple who agrees to deliver humanitarian aid from Lithuania to Ukraine. During the journey, circumstances change and they are forced to travel further and further to the Donbas, where fate brings them together with two military journalists, one of which is played by the French star Paradis.
