The legendary British singer, pianist and composer, 70-year-old Elton John, officially announced his retirement.

He said this on the air on his YouTube channel and promised a three-year farewell tour.

Elton John's fans have recently talked about serious health problems with the star, which might have been the reason for leaving the scene after 50 years of professional activity.

Note that last year, Elton John spent several days in the intensive care unit because of the bacterial infection that he picked up while touring South America. Then he had to cancel nine shows in the US.

It is also known that Elton John had a performance scheduled for January 28 with singer Miley Cyrus at the Grammy Awards ceremony,. Some sources claimed that it was then that the Briton had to announce the end of his career.
