She received the award from the hands of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, who is known for her anti-Ukrainian stance.

Asked by journalists whether the son of Rotar Ruslan Evdokimenko became ill at ease, when he found out who would hand the award to Sofia Mikhailovna, the artist's son replied: "It's already passed, what can I do now".

"Honestly, I heard her name already during the presentation. Plus, we do not decide who congratulates someone, rewards, "- said son Rotaru.
