At the end of August, the third season of the first Ukrainian-language medical drama started on the channel of Ukraine On duty doctor talking about everyday life of emergency physicians.
The actress of one of the main roles in the series actress Nadezhda Levchenko in an exclusive interview to the TV site. UA spoke about how she got into the project and how her character changed in three seasons.
For the third consecutive season you are playing a doctor Nadezhda Pavlenko in the Ukrainian-language medical melodrama "Doctor on duty" on the TV channel "Ukraine". Tell me, did something change in your character during this time? Perhaps, we noticed some changes in the character.
There are changes. At first the screenwriters portrayed the doctor Pavlenko sensitive, soft, and now she has become more solid in her judgments, decisions and expectations. But the personal life of my heroine remains unchanged. But I see this as a plus - it will be interesting to see when the second half of Hope finally appears on the horizon.
Does your character have any similar character traits?.
I noticed that during the filming my heroine is supplemented by certain soft features of character, while remaining confident at the same time. So in it I am manifested, Nadezhda Levchenko (laughs).
And is there something radically different from Pavlenko?.
Rather no, in three seasons I did not have to play scenes in which I would have fought hard with my character and with myself simultaneously. We are peaceful enough to coexist with it.
Can you remember which scenes were the most difficult for you?.
Everything that concerns scenes of operations and rescue of the patient is difficult. They are full of active movement: quickly put a pillow, do artificial respiration, massage the heart, etc.. It is very difficult, from the first take is rarely obtained, it is necessary to repeat three or four times. Then you begin to think too much to do the right thing, but it turns out the opposite - everything falls from the hands.
Did any of the collisions happen on the site?.
Oh, there was a lot of collisions, but at once something is hard to remember. A frequent curiosity is a blurting out of a text when the tongue is plaited. Somehow I had a phrase in the text: "If I'm pushing a phone call to your sin". I several times said "napleglifo". It would seem a trifle, but it looks very funny. There will be something to remember. It is necessary to write such moments in a notebook.
You said earlier that the "Doctor on duty" will be the Ukrainian "Doctor House", do you think you succeeded?.
It's different, it's not the Ukrainian "Doctor House", but a unique "Doctor on duty" who found his viewer. The series lives, and it's very cool.
And your relatives are watching?.
Oh sure. If you do not have time to watch the air on the channel "Ukraine", then look in Youtube. My family is very supportive.
Do you yourself look?.
Due to the busy schedule I can not always see the air. But I try to look on the Internet in order to analyze the work in the frame, monitor errors, to work on myself.
Do you have a son, Daniel, how old is he now?.
He will be 14 in November.
Already an age when they begin to think about the future profession. Does he want to be an actor like Mom?.
Strongly does not want to be an actor. He sees himself in more leadership positions, but also creative. In the cinema he is interested in the technical side, in particular, camera work. In the theater - director's or script. He already writes small stories. Once he came to me in the theater with a folder of his works and asked me to show them to the art director.
In his opinion, one of the tales worth putting. The work, of course, was childish and needed revision. Now, as far as I know, in theaters put children's works with the participation of famous actors, in particular in Kiev. This practice of staging children's stories under the guidance of top directors is incredible. I think if my Daniel will continue to write, then his work will necessarily fall on the stage of the theater.
Did you take part in such productions?.
To my great regret, it was not possible: when such productions were held in Kiev, I was involved in the theater in Ivano-Frankivsk, and in the "Duty Doctor". But I hope that this practice will spread to the whole of Ukraine, and I will be able to get into such a production, because this is a very cool idea.
Doctor Pavlenko - your first such role in the movie. Before the "doctor on duty" there was no such practice at all?.
I had only a small episodic, but very bright role in the short film "With the Accordion in Paris," which I rarely recall. I played the mother of four children, who was pregnant with the fifth. I remember that I was incredibly warmly received on the court and always laughed when I, like a hen, gathered these children around me.
But it happened that my first role was cut out: there was not enough timekeeping. So I'm there for a few seconds. I was very upset at that time. After that I went to the samples, but with my schedule in the theater it was not always possible to get to where I wanted to. And I almost put an end to this.. However, one day they phoned me and offered to take samples. I decided to record on the mobile, gave my husband a phone in my hands and said: "Let's shoot".
And what it was necessary to remove?.
I played the text on the camera, which was sent to me the day before. A week later I was invited to test in Kiev. I arrived, and there are 5-6 such "Pavlenko" go, and everything from Kiev. My first thought was: "They will not take me. The project is long-term, and I play in Ivano-Frankivsk, I'll have to travel back and forth, and this is inconvenient for both sides ". However, the producer called me back with the news that I was approved for the role. Just at this time I was on the train on tour.
The situation was comical, as the connection was interrupted, and I had to ride around the cars to catch the cover. (Laughs). In the end, the role was my. I remember my first day of shooting: green with excitement, my hands are shaking, people are fussing around. I forgot what to do and say, although I have a lot of experience in the theater. But it was already a movie, and there everything is different (smiles).
Colleagues helped?.
Yes very. Now we are like family.
You invite them to your place in Ivano-Frankivsk?.
Of course, I sometimes have members of our film crew, they come by turns.
And your husband is also an actor?.
Yes, he is also an actor.
Did you meet at the theater?.
Yes. When we met, I already worked in the theater, and he was still a student, came to practice, and somehow we started. This is a very romantic story. We played together in the play "Romeo and Juliet": he had the role of Pietro, and I danced in extras. So we got involved in love.
Tell me, what is the most difficult thing for you in the acting profession?.
I can not say that the most difficult, because if you love something, then all the complexities go to the background. I adore my work, therefore, I think there can be no difficulties.
Do you quickly remember the texts?.
One time I caught myself thinking that I quickly remember the text. Now it happens that two replicas can not be put in my head. This happens because of the large overload. Actors are also tired (smiling).
What do you do in your free time? Are there any hobbies?.
When I have this free time, I master something with my own hands. I sculpt something from plasticine, it's a hobby and my son took over. He first studied drawing, and then he also began to sculpt, made even all kinds of tales of plasticine. I like to sew, to make some small gifts for friends, colleagues.
What exactly?.
Pletu quilling, I make hearts from salted dough and similar trifles. But now, when the free time finally falls, I sleep (laughs).
If you talk about rest, do you prefer active or passive?.
At me so: one and a half day to lie down, and then it is already possible to undertake active leisure. But just lie down - be sure.
Here started a new academic year. Tell us about your school years. Where did you study?.
In the first school in Ivano-Frankivsk, on Dolgoy.
And you wore a uniform?.
I was in uniform until the third grade, then it was still a Soviet model. Wore a brown dress with a black apron on weekdays, and for the holidays there was a white apron. And the bows too: brown and white. We were very fond of our first teacher, Vadim Vadimovich Volkov, usually the first teachers are women, and we had a man. And this, probably, was the most vivid memory from school. In fact, all teachers were good, and I am very grateful to them.
Confess, the lessons were truant?.
I began to skip when I was already engaged in theater and music. Instead of lessons - rehearsals.
What bright memories do you have from school?.
I can not remember from the school, I was a "tihushnitsey" (laughs), but from the yard where I grew up, I clearly remember how we held street concerts in the open air.
Watch the show on duty doctor-3 from Monday to Friday at 13:40 on the channel Ukraine.
