Ex-producer of the late pop king Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, sued the family star 9.4 million dollars.

It was with him that the artist recorded his main hits - Bad, Thriller, Off The Wall. Producer is their co-author. First Quincy in the suit indicated the desired amount of 30 million, but relatives noted: they can pay a maximum of 400 thousand, writes Billboard.

In Los Angeles, the court ruled with the obligation of native stars to pay Quincy $ 9.4 million. Also in the lawsuit Jones stated that this should have happened back in 2009, after the death of the King of Pop.



The former Jackson producer added that he had no intention of offending the memory of the star, and the funds awarded were not only for him.

"In this case, I did not in any way want to offend Michael's memory. These funds belong not only to me, but to all people with whom we created his songs. A lot of them and they deserve to be rewarded ", - summed up the producer.
