The Ukrainian singer Jamala, who married Bekir Suleymanov on April 26, admitted that part of the money donated at the wedding was given to the families of political prisoners, the "Secular Life".

According to the singer, there is a Crimean-Tatar tradition when at weddings in a special basket collected money for children of political prisoners.

"When the Crimean Tatars were still in Central Asia in exile, the point of gathering was a wedding. At weddings all Crimean Tatars gathered. They exchanged information there and they collected money for the children of political prisoners. We also made such a basket and we also gave money for the families and for the children of political prisoners. Such a sad story comes back. Unfortunately, "- shared Jamala.

The actress told that she and her husband invited relatives from Crimea to their wedding in Kiev, but not all guests were allowed to the Ukrainian capital.

"Some guests were asked permission to enter Kiev, they had to write an explanatory note at work. That's horrible. In fact, we did such a wedding that the people who came from the Crimea had a feeling that they were at home, "said Jamala.

Recall, in early May, Jamala boasted a honeymoon in Italy.
