46 UNESCO Member States will boycott the meeting of the World Heritage Committee as long as it is chaired by the Russian Federation. It is reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. After all, the signatory countries of the 1972 World Heritage Convention are amazed by the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

" UNESCO is obliged to prevent Russia from chairing the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee, and must also transfer it from Kazan. The Russian Federation, which strikes at our churches, museums, monuments, theaters, under any circumstances, there is no moral right to continue to be called a member of an organization whose goal is to engage in culture,"

Earlier, Ukraine launched an interactive map of cultural monuments destroyed or damaged during a full-scale war with the Russian Federation. As of April 1 this year, 150 monuments and cultural objects were damaged by the Russian invasion.
