In the Kiev House of Cinema on November 19 they will show the full-length documentary “The rustle of steps” about a pair of monumental artists Ade Rybachuk and Vladimir Melnichenko. The film was directed by Ksenia Kravtsova (White Dance, PZh), and the script for it was written by Innokenty Vyrova. The creation of the picture was initiated by cameraman Eduard Timlin, a friend of artists. "

The painting was created with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, so its screening at the Cinema House will be free, but prior registration is required. An hour before the start of the screening, a press conference of the film crew and the main character of the film, Vladimir Melnichenko, will be held.

In 1975, Ada Rybachuk and Vladimir Melnichenko, in collaboration with architect Abraham Miletsky, became the authors of the Kiev crematorium complex.

Melnichenko and Rybachuk developed the concept, design, architectural plastic of the building. Artists talked about the need to build a connection between architectural design and folk funeral traditions.. They worked on another project - the large-scale memorial complex “Wall of Memory” at the Baykovsky cemetery in Kiev for more than 10 years.. All this time, artists faced resistance from the Soviet regime, and as a result, the construction was frozen, and the “Wall of memory” was flooded with concrete.
