Democrat Chuck Schumer presented a resolution on the renaming in honor of the deceased Senator John McCain of Russell's office - the oldest office building of the US Senate, reports CNN. In a Saturday statement, he said: "Nothing will overcome Senator McCain's loss, but to be remembered, I will submit a resolution on renaming the building of Russell in his honor". The Russell building is named after the former US senator from Georgia, Richard Brevard Russell. It was built in 1909, now there are offices of several dozen senators and there are six parliamentary committees.
