The American artist Hristo Javashev, known under the pseudonym of Hristo, presented his new work "London Mastaba" (London Mastaba) - a giant sculpture located on the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, writes The Guardian. The structure is about 20 meters high and weighs 600 tons and is made up of 7,500 multi-colored barrels.

The idea of ??a floating sculpture of Hristo was invented together with his wife, the artist Jeanne-Claude. Implement the idea together the pair did not have time: Jeanne-Claude died in 2009, but 9 years later, Hristo decided to implement the project after all. According to the idea of ??the authors, the inscribed in the surrounding landscape "London Mastaba" from the outside should look like an abstract picture, the colors on which change depending on the change of natural light.

Hristo and Jean-Claude for several decades were the most famous pair of artists working in the field of art-art. The form of mastaba (in Arabic means "clay bench", also - a kind of ancient Egyptian tombs) they used quite often, but the most important project, which is associated with it, still failed to realize. Back in the 1970s, the artists planned to erect a 170-meter mastaba in the middle of the desert in Abu Dhabi, but could not obtain permission from local authorities.
