This was announced today, June 15, at the meeting of the first deputy of the Kharkov mayor Igor Terekhov with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (office in the Dnieper) Wolfgang Messinger.

As noted by Igor Terekhov, Kharkov and Nuremberg connects the 27-year history of relations.

"This is one of the most reliable of our partner cities. At the Days of Kharkov in Nuremberg for the first time will be represented by a large delegation. Several thematic blocks are planned. First of all, great attention will be paid to the development of economic relations, the issue of opening our trade and economic representation. We will get acquainted with projects in the field of energy conservation, in particular, German educational institutions. A wide cultural program with Kharkov vocal groups, artists, sculptors. In other words, Kharkov will not only show itself on the best side, but will also learn a lot of new and useful things, "stressed Igor Terekhov.

He recalled that he recently met with the leadership of the KfW branch of the German state development bank in Eastern Europe, where he talked about the allocation of 52 million euros of loan funds and an additional 3 million euros in the form of a grant for the reconstruction of existing pumping stations, as well as 60 schools and kindergartens using energy-efficient technologies.

In turn, Wolfgang Messinger reported that it was the effective cooperation of Kharkiv with Nuremberg that served as a kind of impulse to the decision of the bank "KfW" to launch joint projects with Kharkov in these directions.

"Relations between us are the closest and active among all cities of Ukraine and Germany. All that we have earned and what we do will be shown in one place, at the same time, and this will be another proof of our cooperation and friendship. Kharkiv residents will be able to learn more about Nuremberg, and residents of our city will get to know Kharkiv even closer. It is very important that during the planned events we will solve specific tasks that will help us to benefit each other, "said Wolfgang Messinger.
