The Tretyakov Gallery showed how the picture of Ilya Repin "Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan on November 16, 1581" (better known as "Ivan the Terrible kills his son") after the vandal damaged the canvas on May 25.

As already reported, the damage from the attack is estimated at more than 500 thousand rubles. Canvas torn in three places on the figure of the prince, reported in the gallery, but the most valuable - the images of the faces and hands of the tsar and the prince - did not suffer.



Recall that on Friday, 37-year-old Igor Podporin smashed the pillar of the fence glass paintings of Ilya Repin and damaged the canvas. According to the man, he previously drank 100 grams of vodka in the buffet, and he "covered". Criminal case initiated, vandal arrested.

On the eve of a specially convened press conference in the Tretyakov Gallery showed a photograph of the picture with traces of damage. The work of Ilya Repin is damaged in three places, all of them are located in the central part of the canvas.
