In the Kharkov art museum will open an exhibition "Disgusting pisanka"

The exposition presents more than 400 works by members of the Kharkiv City Club. Alla Ovcharenko and their students.

The exhibition is devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Kharkov city club of pysanka and Easter.

Visitors will see traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs and various kinds of ornamentation of Easter eggs - carving and inlaying on wood, weaving, painting on ceramics, etching and carving, beading-stencils.

Members of the club will present the project "Symbolics in pysankarstvo", the purpose of which is to reveal the content of ornaments.

Also during the exhibition will be a master show on the painting of Easter eggs, master classes for order.

reference. Kharkiv city pysankarstva club was established at the center "Slobozhanschina" in 1993. Founded and led by Alla Pavlovna Ovcharenko (1939-2013), teacher of fine arts, a talented organizer and teacher. Having united around him Kharkiv citizens of different ages and professions, from schoolchildren to pensioners, she became for them not only a mentor in pysankarstvo, but also a friend for life. That's why the club bears her name. In 2014 there was an album-catalog dedicated to the memory of Alla Pavlovna, where the history of the club and the coloring "Slobozhansky Pysanka".



Members of the club together with scientists of the Historical Museum processed and made copies of the collection of pisanoks collected by Academician Nikolai Sumtsov at the end of the XIX century. This collection was donated by the club to the museum.

Since 2013 members of the club and their pupils take part in all-Ukrainian festivals of Easter eggs in Kiev. The masters of the Kharkiv region show their skills and acquaint the people of Kiev and the guests of the capital with the Slobozhansky pysanka. The works of the members of the club are kept in museums and church collections of Ukraine and abroad.
