Three members of The Smiths announced a reunion, according to the NME. Drummer Mike Joyce, bassist Andy Rourke and second guitarist Craig Gannon will join as part of Classically Smiths and embark on a joint tour. They will perform the classic hits of The Smiths together with the chamber orchestra Manchester Camerata. "With the addition of the orchestra, it will sound like something completely unique.

I'm looking forward to when fans can hear songs like they never sounded before either on record or live. On the stage it will be for all of us a new experience, "- commented on the news Mike Joyce. "I'm incredibly happy that I'll play with Andy and Craig again," he added..

The Smiths was founded in 1982. In 1987, guitarist Johnny Marr left the team, after which the band disbanded. The group's frontman, Stephen Morrissey, began his solo career. NME stresses that he will not join the tour of the band.
