Santa Claus on the festive Christmas tour flew over the territory of Ukraine. This is evidenced by the online broadcast of NORAD Tracks Santa, launched by the United Air Defense Command of the United States and Canada (NORAD).
Santa Claus this year visited the occupied territory, flying over Donetsk late on Sunday evening. After that he went to Moldavia and other cities of Eastern Europe.
It is noted that as part of the closing Christmas tour, Santa delivered more than 5 billion gifts. Track his movement around the world in real time on the site of the project NORAD Tracks Santa.
As reported by CNN referring to the military, the United Air Defense Command of the United States and Canada recorded the Santa Claus sleigh. Naval Colonel Bob Brody from the 601st Air Operations Center noted that the fighters would "fly along the wing (Santa Claus) in a close escort".
"The center will monitor it with the help of our satellites and even have infrared trackers to monitor Rudolph (the deer is the leader of the Santa Claus Christmas team)," said the officer.
The project "NORAD monitors Santa" was launched in 1955, when one of the major department stores in the state of Colorado posted an ad with a call to the children to call Santa Claus. However, there was an error and instead of Santa, the calls had to be answered by the operator of the hotline of the Continental Air Defense Command (the predecessor of NORAD).
