The film was based on the biography of the famous Kharkov philologist and priest, confessor of the Kharkov EuroMaidan - father Victor Marinchak.

The premiere demonstration of the film gathered on November 21 at the cinema. Dovzhenko activists of the Kharkiv EuroMaidan, the region's leadership, representatives of public organizations and volunteers.

And it's not just that both the hero of the film and the author were active participants of the Kharkiv EuroMeidan, but also in the subject matter of the tape, which encourages reflection and discussion about real freedom and a difficult road to it, "said the deputy chairman - the head of the HOGA Anatoly Babichev.

"Catcher of Souls" - this is not a film-biography. On the example of the protagonist, he talks about the path to freedom from the cage of a totalitarian society.

"This is the path through repentance, through the search for an exit from the impasse in the experience of history and culture, through a return to spiritual sources," said producer and film reporter Vladimir Chistilin. - The hero must find an alternative to the dominant mode of existence, to find a hotbed of freedom and the possibility of resistance and strengthening in freedom and dignity. This is a typical way that prepared many for a person to be able to stand unbreakable, gain freedom and not give up anymore ".

After the demonstration of the tape, a discussion was held with its authors and the main character.
