As noted, the artist was in extremely serious condition after the surgery. So, because of deteriorating health Shapovalov died in the hospital.
It is known that Shapovalov graduated from the Shchukin Theater School in 1968, after which he was accepted into the troupe of the theater. In 1969, he first starred in the film "The Road Home". He also played in the productions "A Dawns Here Are Quiet", "Pugachev", "Master and Margarita", "Boris Godunov", "Crime and Punishment", "Tartuffe" and many others.
Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform," in Los Angeles at the age of 89 years, died a famous theater and film actor Robert Guillaume. Relatives of the artist report that the cause of the actor's death was a long battle with cancer.
