Actor Kevin Spacey pestered the participants in the filming of the series "House of Cards", in which he starred. This is reported by CNN, in total, communicating with eight participants in the filming. All of them agreed to a conversation in the conditions of anonymity.
According to the interlocutors of the agency (mostly they were young men), the actor touched them without permission, tried to massage them and also made obscene comments. They said that he behaved like a "predator" and in general created a "toxic" situation on the set. The victims of Spacey's actions noted that they were afraid of him, since he was a very important figure - besides playing the main role, Spacey also acted as one of the executive producers of the series.
One of the interlocutors of CNN accused Spacie of attempting to rape.
Spacey's behavior was not a big secret for the whole crew. So, the former assistant of the operator of "Card House" stated that "everyone saw" the actor's pestering that took place in the open space. According to him, no one filed lawsuits against Spacey because of fear of losing his job.
"Who will believe the members of the crew? You just fired, "- said the interlocutor of CNN.
The first person who accused Spacie of harassment was the actor Anthony Rapp. He said that in 1986, when Rapp was 14 years old, Spacey pestered him after the party.
Later in the harassment Spacy accused director Tony Montana, actor Roberto Cavazos and British bartender Daniel Beale. According to Cavazos, Spacey also solicited many actors of the Old Vic Theater in London, where he was artistic director.
After the first accusations from Rapp, Spacey made a camping out. He apologized for the incident, noting that he did not remember him. Subsequently, the actor said that he intends to go to the clinic for treatment of sexual addiction.
When the scandal began, the Netflix network announced that the sixth season of the "House of Cards" would be the last; It was stressed that such a decision was adopted long ago. Later, the network announced a complete suspension of filming the final, directly linking it to the situation around Spacey.
Netflix and MRC (the company that produces "House of Cards") opened a telephone line for receiving anonymous complaints about the behavior of Spacey.
