In the capital you can see the works of the master of the French photographic scene Jean-Marie Perrier "Jean-Marie Perrier. Couturier of French Photography ", which depict famous people of the XX century. Among them are images of John Galliano, Kenzo, Yves-Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood. Working in the fashion world, Perrier managed to create an outstanding gallery of portraits, each of which opens viewers of their characters with a new, unexplored side. Couturier of the French fashion Jean-Marie long time - and a special place in the collection is a series of works created in the 1990's. - worked for the most famous magazines and brands. The result, in addition to hundreds of covers, glossy covers and well-known advertising posters has become a large-scale portrait gallery of celebrities of the XX century. This is a rare opportunity to see the stars of the world of music, cinema and fashion without artificial images, in an informal setting, when they do not expect a flash and do not squint from spotlights. In these photographs, Perier's attention to detail is traced. As if not a photographer, but a couturier, Jean-Marie painstakingly builds each image, creating a skilful photographic collection. Many pictures became iconic images of the era. For example, the famous photo that adorned the single Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever. Visitors to the center on Bolotnaya Embankment had a unique opportunity to see the world of show business from within. The second exhibition is shocking no less, and maybe because of its contrast - people and pristine nature - more and more than the first. The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography presents the work of Sebastian Copeland, the polar explorer and environmentalist, Sebastian Copeland's "Clean Arctic". "My photos are created as an invitation to travel to your own world," says Copeland. - Imagine that the poles are next to you, that this is your own garden and garden. To feel free in this garden, it is necessary to look after it. And these photos are one way to show you your own garden ".

The exposition, which takes place in the framework of the Year of Ecology, included more than 60 large-scale works taken during the last ten years in expeditions to the polar regions of Norway, Canada, the USA, Greenland, the Arctic Ocean and the Antarctic Peninsula. In his works the author performs the role of a visual pioneer, not only witnessing about the world, but also addressing the actual problems of our time. Discovering the harsh and fragile beauty of the pristine nature of the polar regions, photos of Sebastian Copeland are pursued and pragmatic goals - to draw attention to climate change on the planet and call for an environmentally safe future through the art of photography. And he succeeds in brilliantly.
