Now visitors to the museum in Parhomivka can see a very symbolic exposition - "History of ancient estates", which presents photographs of castles from different regions of Ukraine, known for their interesting history and connected with the life and work of recognized foreign artists, composers and writers.

The author of the photo exhibition is the candidate of historical sciences, culturologist, publicist Elena Zhukova, who has been studying architectural heritage of our country for about 20 years.

The exhibition features Renaissance palaces, aristocratic palaces and palaces built in the style of classicism or castle style. In particular, you can see the manors of the Kharkov region, among which the Donetsk-Zakharzhevsky-Zadonskiy estate in Veliky Burluk, the Kulikovsky - in the village of Rakitnoe, the Shidlovsky - in Old Merchik. Also in Parkhomovka you can see manors located in the western regions of Ukraine.

According to Oksana Zhadan, a year the institution hosts up to 20 exhibitions, the museum is visited by about 15 thousand tourists.

Now the museum is looking forward to an important event - on September 30, the building where it is located should officially return to the property of the community. The existence of the Parkhomovsky Art Museum was in jeopardy in 2011, when the building, which houses a unique collection of world art masterpieces, was pledged. After the last owner was declared bankrupt, the struggle for the preservation of the museum building began. The issue of the return of the Krasnokutsky community to the museum was personally dealt with by the chairman of the HOGA Yulia Svetlichnaya. As a result, among the creditors there was a banking institution that bought the building and agreed to transfer it to the OKH "Kharkiv Art Museum".

"Yulia Svetlichnaya became the flagship of the solution of this issue. She took the initiative and achieved the fact that one of these days a unique event will take place - the transfer of the Parkhomovsky Museum building to communal property, "said the Chairman of the Krasnokutsk Regional State Administration Alexei Belotsky. - I am confident that this will give a new impetus to the development of both the sphere of culture in the Kharkiv region and in Ukraine as a whole. This unique museum will bring great benefits to the people of the region and the country ".

reference. The art museum in Parkhomovka was founded by the teacher of the history of the rural school Afanasy Lunev. Together with the students, he created a local history museum, which was located only in one classroom in the school. Later, they founded the "Young Historian" circle and became fired with the idea of ??creating an art museum. With the request to help open such an establishment, many artists addressed themselves. The first responded masters from Kharkov.

In 1955, they presented the museum with 50 of their works, and this year is usually considered the date of the creation of the museum. Later the collection of the museum significantly increased. Today it has more than 7000 exhibits. Among them - the work of outstanding artists: Pablo Picasso, Kazimir Malevich, Nicholas Roerich, Apollinaria Vasnetsov, Ivan Shishkin, Giovanni Piranesi, Ferdinand Bol, Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Izhakevich, Mikhail Deregus, Abram Arkhipov. Since 1987, the institution in Parkhomovka is an autonomous department of the Kharkov Art Museum.
