Physicians have determined which diet is the most effective and best of all helps to get rid of extra pounds. The researchers found that a vegetarian diet is more effective than a low-calorie diet, which involves the use of products of animal origin. The director of clinical studies of the committee of doctors in Washington, Khana Kaleova, noted that the use of only plant products improves metabolism. Therefore, such a diet is also useful to people who suffer from a metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.
To such conclusions, scientists came after a study in which 74 patients were involved. They all had diabetes.
The volunteers were divided into two groups. One part of people ate different foods. Another group of volunteers consumed only vegetables, cereals, legumes, fruits, nuts and yogurt. Thanks to the experiment, it was found out that during the week the representatives of the second group lost an average of 6.2 kilograms. At the same time, participants from the first group lost twice less than kilograms. In addition, the so-called "deep" fat left only those who ate plant foods.
