The International Festival of Fine Arts "Traditions and Modernity" (Vera World Fine Art) was opened in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh". At the festival from 8 to 11 June, the visitors will see the works of more than 300 artists from 30 countries of the world.

Guests of the opening were Zurab Tsereteli, Polad Bulbul-ogly, Eugene Margulis, Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Spartak Mishulin, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eleonora Mitrofanova and other persons.

"The main idea of ??the festival is to show the whole palette of world art, we exhibit artists of different trends and genres in one exhibition space," said curator of the festival Vera Kiseleva.

This year in the "Manezh" there are eight directions: painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, installation, museum business and architecture. One of the main special projects at the festival was the "Imaginary Museum" by Mikhail Shemyakin. At the heart of this exposition is a collection of images in the art of different times and peoples, the result of his great research and art work for 50 years.

One of the rare exhibits in the Manege was the unique violin of the work of the Italian master Andrei Shyudts. This tool is a copy of the Hellier model by Antonio Stradivari in 1679.

At the opening on it played the soloist "Virtuosos of Moscow" violinist Yegor Repin.

Mamontov Gallery presents unique still lifes of Russian artists from their private collection. In their exposition: the works of Kuprin, Kuznetsov, Lentulov, Sudeikin.
