Yeltsin Center became the first Russian museum to receive the prize of the "European Museum of the Year" (EMYA) named after Kenneth Hudson. With such an impressive success, the collective of the museum of the first Russian president Boris Yeltsin congratulated the provincial governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev.
The diploma, which Yeltsin received from the Center, reads:.
"The museum makes a convincing impression of the design of its exposition, an outstanding level of multimedia, a bright program of public lectures and seminars, well-organized temporary exhibitions. Yeltsin Center is both a memorial of a major political figure, and a chronicle of dramatic episodes left in the memory of contemporaries ".
Kuyvashev noted that the recognition of the Russian cultural community by the European museum community confirms the obvious fact that the Sverdlovsk Region is an excellent place for creative work, investments, development.
