At the Kiev Drama Theater on Podol, the solemn ceremony of presenting the oldest professional theatrical prize "Kyiv Pectoral" in Ukraine in 2017 was held.

Minister of Culture Yevgeny Nishchuk presented the first statuette "For a significant contribution to the development of theatrical art" to people's artist Larisa Kadochnikova.

A special prize was awarded to the project of Nikolay Rushkovsky's Workshop and the Lesya Ukrainka Library "Theater in the Library".

Honorary Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada "For special services to the Ukrainian people" was awarded to the People's Artist of Ukraine, art director and director of the Theater in Podol Vitaly Malakhov.

Streeze three "Kiev pectoral" was directed by Dmitry Bogomazov: in the nomination "For the best drama performance" and "For the best director's work" - E. Azhar "Life ahead" (Kiev Academic Theater of Drama and Comedy on the Left Bank of the Dnieper), as well as "For the best chamber performance (performance of a small stage)" - In. The 26th ceremony of delivery was special: it was opened by a parade of laureates of the award of different years, laureates conducted the ceremony, presented awards and performed with creative numbers.

At the beginning of the event, the participants paid a minute of silence to the memory of one of the founders of the award - People's Artist of Ukraine, composer, professor Mikhail Chemberzhi, who died on March 5, 2018.
