European farmers hide the real situation with the spread of African swine fever, says Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergei Dankvert. The official did this in an interview with Rossiya 24.

"The real situation is much worse than we even imagined, because if we have 1255 cases of African plague in 10 years, then they have 8233 cases in 3,5 years. I'm saying the data to date, officially, "said Dankvert. - And the spread that is, it is hidden, it is not shown fully ".

According to him, European countries do not listen to Russia's view that the situation with the plague in Europe will worsen, and worry only about the continuation of trade. The main threat comes from Austria, Hungary and Germany. And the most favorable situation in Sweden and Denmark.

Recall, at the beginning of the week Sverdlovsk Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev signed an order on measures to prevent African swine fever in the Sverdlovsk region. In particular, municipalities will earn hot lines, and the department for the regulation of wildlife in the region will feed wild boars so that they do not migrate to other regions.
