"Izvestia" write that the editor-in-chief of the German magazine Focus Robert Robert Schneider apologized for the publication containing an incorrect statement regarding President Vladimir Putin.

The press attache of the Russian embassy in Germany Denis Mikerin wrote on his Facebook page that Schneider called the Russian embassy today, September 15.

The press attache of the Russian embassy noted: "Should this enlightenment be viewed as a second flash or still as a ray of light in a dark realm? Time will show. In any case, this is the basis for continuing the dialogue ".

Iz Portal. ru previously reported that the representative of Focus magazine Alice Wagner had earlier explained the incorrect statement about Putin "an ironic play on words".

She also noted that the publication did not intend to offend the Russian president. However, the Russian Embassy in Berlin did not remain satisfied with the statement of Wagner. The department said that they expect an apology from the editorial staff of the magazine.

Recall that earlier in one of the articles of the last issue of Focus, the Russian leader was used the ambiguous expression harter hund, which in Russian can mean "hard nut" or "dog". The publication was devoted to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
