The Central Telegraph Agency of Korea transmits, referring to the statement of the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that North Korea stated that it "categorically" rejects the new resolution of the UN Security Council and considers it to be a "fabricated" US.

As stressed in the North Korean department, the resolution is "the product of a brutal provocation aimed to completely strangle the state and the people, depriving the just self-defense right of the Republic". The DPRK also believes that the path chosen by the "North Korean authorities is absolutely" correct, "and the US, with the help of sanctions, is trying" to impede the development of the country ". The statement says: "We will defend our sovereignty and the right to exist and further increase our power to ensure peace and security".

As previously reported, yesterday, September 12, all 15 members of the UN Security Council voted in favor of a resolution imposing additional sanctions on North Korea.

It was noted that the new restrictions provided for a ban on the purchase of North Korean textiles and for the supply of gas condensate to the country, and the UN Security Council imposed restrictions on the export of oil and its products to the DPRK.

Recall, on September 3, Pyongyang held the sixth nuclear test, which exacerbated the regional crisis. The Ministry of Defense of South Korea found out that the DPRK managed to reduce the weight of the nuclear charge to 500 kg. This theoretically allows to load the warhead into the intercontinental ballistic missile "Hwaseon-14" and send it to the US territory.
