"Vedomosti" reported, with reference to the macro forecast, which was submitted to the government, that the Economic Development Ministry did not exclude the reduction of pensions in real terms in the next three years.

As noted, the growth of pension payments will be suspended because of the refusal to index them to working pensioners.

It is specified that there are about 10 million people in the Russian Federation. It is noted at the same time that inflation will also affect inflation. According to the forecast, it will be higher than in 2017.

Rossiyskaya Gazeta recalls that in the basic scenario on which the budget is prepared, pensions will decrease by 0.7 percent in 2018 and by 0.6 percent in 2019-2020.

The Ministry of Economic Development specified that the forecast will be published after approval by the government.
