RIA Novosti reports that the Syrian army and fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah completely freed the border of Syria and Lebanon from the militants of the terrorist group IG.
A source close to Hezbollah told the news agency: "The Syrian army and the resistance fighters have completely liberated the western Kalamun from the IG militants, after sending the last bus from the Sheikh Ali-Ar-Rumiyat border crossing".
As previously reported, on August 27 it became known that the Lebanese Army announced a ceasefire in a battle with the terrorists of the IG on the northeastern border with Syria.
Recall that the operation to release the Syrian-Lebanese border from the militants is conducted by Hezbollah forces since July this year. The offensive is conducted both from Lebanon and from the territory of Syria. It is noted that the Ersal district, through which terrorists smuggled and recruited rebels, is considered one of the most tense sections of the border.
