The deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation commented on the statements of the North Korean leader who called the last missile launch a "prelude" before the attack on Guam. First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma for International Affairs Dmitry Novikov believes that Washington is hardly ready to start an open war with Pyongyang.
In an interview with RT in Russian, Novikov said: "There are a lot of internal problems in the US and they are already involved in a number of international conflicts. It's not a fact that they are now ready to start an open war with the DPRK. Moreover, this will affect the interests of their allies, such as South Korea.
There is also China nearby, to spoil relations with which there is no sense for the US, given the economic ties between the two countries ".
The deputy added that Russia should behave with restraint in the arisen tense situation, while participating as much as possible in solving problems on the Korean peninsula.
As previously reported, on Tuesday, August 29, Pyongyang held another missile launch. It is noted that for the first time since 2009, when the satellite with the Taepodon-2 missile was launched into orbit, the flight of the missile passed over the territory of Japan.
