China invited leaders of five more countries to the BRICS summit

Andrei Denisov, Russia's ambassador to the PRC, said that China as the BRICS chairman this year invited five more countries to the summit, including Mexico, Guinea, Thailand and Tajikistan, Izvestia reports..

He explained that this was not a surprise, and other host countries also repeatedly invited other countries to the summit.

The diplomat said: "The Chinese chairmanship this time showed a global approach and invited the leaders of five states from different parts of the world.

From Africa invited from Guinea, from Latin America - Mexico, Southeast Asia - Thailand, Central Asia - Tajikistan ".

It is reported that the BRICS summit will be held on September 3-5 in the Chinese city of Xiamen (Fujian Province). As it became known earlier, the ministers of industry of the BRICS countries signed an action plan to deepen industrial cooperation between the states.

BRICS is an economic and trade bloc of five countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
