The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Stavropol forbade policemen to visit bars

RIA Novosti reports that the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory commented on the order allegedly prohibiting law enforcement officers from visiting bars and traveling on holidays outside the serviced area.

The message reads: "The order is aimed primarily at raising the level of combat readiness of personnel in order to ensure antiterrorist protection. As the events of the current year have shown, the questions of the readiness of personnel to promptly collect and carry out tasks in emergency situations remain topical ".

The department also added that the document is aimed at strengthening individual educational work.

The report says:

"A number of its paragraphs refer to recommendations on the conduct of briefings on the rules of conduct in the home and does not establish additional rights and duties of employees of the interior affairs of the province." The management promised that the document would be amended regarding issues of departure of guards from outside The municipal entity they serve.

The media earlier reported that police officers from the Stavropol Territory were allegedly barred from visiting bars on weekends, and also traveling on holidays outside the areas in which they serve.
