From the results of the poll Ifop center center commissioned by the Journal du Dimanche, it follows that the level of confidence in the president of France Emmanuel Macron in the past month fell by 14%.

It is noted that if in July the work of the French leader was approved by 54% of citizens, in August, only 40% remained with Macron's work, while 57% stated that they did not trust the head of state.

The survey was conducted on August 25-26 by phone. The study involved 1023 people.

Journal du Dimanche writes: "Four months after the triumphant election, Emmanuelle Macron became the president of the minority".

The publication also notes that the rating of Macron is falling much faster than the ratings of its two predecessors - Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy. As you know, a few months after the election in August 2012, the level of confidence in Holland was only 2% lower (from 56% to 54%). Sarkozy's rating in August 2007 increased by 3% (from 66% to 69%).

It is assumed that the recent popularity of the president was affected by recent scandalous events. A few days ago it turned out that Macron for the three months that he is in power, spent 26 thousand euros on the make-up artist's services.

Previously, the French were outraged that the president wants to give his wife the official status of the First Lady. A petition against the legislative initiative was signed by more than 150,000 citizens who stated that they were not going to pay the new title Brigitte Macron from her pocket.
