Reuters reports, citing a source in the judicial authorities, that the warning of the Spanish authorities, after which the Dutch police canceled the concert of the American rock band in Rotterdam, is not directly related to the terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils last week.

As previously reported, on Wednesday evening, on August 23, the Dutch police canceled the concert of the American rock band Allah-Las in Rotterdam because of the "terrorist threat". Mayor Ahmed Abutaleb said that near the concert hall the police stopped a van with Spanish license plates, in which there were several gas cylinders. He said that the driver of the vehicle was detained and sent for questioning. The mayor also confirmed that the concert of the American rock band was canceled after a warning from the Spanish police.

However, exactly what information was provided by the Spanish authorities, he did not specify.

The source told the agency that the Spanish authorities sent a warning to their Dutch counterparts after some time of investigation, which involved representatives of the Civil Guard. The interlocutor of the agency stressed that it had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks in Catalonia.

The US Embassy in the Netherlands recommended that Americans refrain from staying in the area of ??the accident.
